West Yorkshire Dog Rescue is a Registered Charity managed by Committee on a totally voluntary basis. Their main priority is the dogs, their welfare and finding the most suitable homes. They provide a lifelong return policy should adoptive owners be unable to keep them. There is an enormous call for rescue services, every year West Yorkshire Dog Rescue re-home around 250 dogs into loving homes. By using volunteer fosters instead of kennels they are able to ensure running costs are minimised.
The items listed here are those currently needed by West Yorkshire Dog Rescue, and their current wagging residents. When you purchase a donation through this store, your exact purchased item is sent directly to the dogs at West Yorkshire Dog Rescue. It also means that they don’t have to spend money donations on items, and can instead use it for those things only money can buy such as vet bills.

West Yorkshire Dogs don’t pay for their donation shop, and Give Today use just £0.50 of the item prices below to cover transaction costs and price fluctuations from suppliers. Give Today don’t profit from the sale of any items on the website.
West Yorkshire Dog Rescue at work:
West Yorkshire Dog Rescue take dogs from owners who are unable to keep them, and unwanted strays from pounds. Their rescue dogs are not housed in kennels, they are fostered in homes so that their behaviour can be assessed in a family situation. Under the advice of vets they given appropriate treatment, they are neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and micro chipped. Other necessary treatment such as kennel cough and dental work will be carried out as necessary.
Homes will be home checked prior to dogs leaving fosters and follow-up checks once adopted. West Yorkshire Dogs continue to support our owners with help and advice, including working with specialist vets, dog behaviourists and trainers. Should the new owner’s circumstances change they will ALWAYS have the dogs back into their care for subsequent re-homing.
