SIFA Fireside at work:
“We want to create a city free from homelessness, where everyone can access the services they need to live well.”
SIFA Fireside do this by supporting adults who are homeless and vulnerable by meeting their immediate needs (like access to showers and a health clinic) and long-term needs. This means helping them feel confident and determined as well as warm and comfortable.
Supporting vulnerable adults
Meeting everyday needs
Someone experiencing homelessness has often lived through trauma, neglect or prolonged poor mental health. SIFA Fireside help them overcome the continued trauma that is homelessness with trauma-informed care which recognises and addresses this fact.
This is what’s important to them:
Building trust with people to help them through a crisis
Long-term, sustainable solutions to homelessness.
