On The Street’s Outreach are a charity based in Birmingham and their work, put simply, is to help the homeless come rain or shine. Every Sunday, they bring food, clothing, toiletries and a friendly face. It is something they are deeply passionate about and feel that they are not just helping those without a home but our society as a whole.
The items listed here are those currently needed by On the Street’s Outreach. When you purchase a donation through this store, your exact purchased item is sent directly to On the Street’s Outreach. They can then distribute or use the donated items as required, making a real, tangible difference to someone’s life. It also means that they don’t have to spend money donations on items, and can instead use it for those things only money can buy.
There is no minimum order size, and all items include free delivery.
On the Street’s Outreach don’t pay for their donation shop, and Give Today use just £0.50 of the item prices below to cover transaction costs and price fluctuations from suppliers. Give Today don’t profit from the sale of any items on the website.
On the Street's Outreach at work:
Emma started volunteering after she spoke to a homeless man in Birmingham. She chatted with him for about an hour, where he told her all about the struggles of living on the streets. It really touched Emma’s heart and so the next week Emma and her husband volunteered at a soup kitchen. They haven’t stopped since! After 7 months of helping varying support groups in Birmingham such as GooD, on Friday evenings and Birmingham Support Group every Wednesday Evening, it was decided to start their own group.
On the Street’s Outreach are now an official charity and their volunteers, from all walks of life, go out every Sunday morning, handing out what companies and the public have kindly donated, and spending the time to talk and interact with those they have come to give a helping hand.
Those who are made homeless face a harsh, isolating and precarious world. It is the aim of the charity to bring a bit of help and a loving hand to those that need it most, and to be part of the nationwide movement that will one day, hopefully, bring an end to homelessness.
