Where a Café provides more than Caffeine
A café can be more than just a place to buy a coffee. Two friends in Prestwich have created a space where you can get a big slice of community alongside your caffeine.

Kate + Johanna originally met in 2008 whilst working for a well known restaurant chain. They went off to do different things but remained firm friends. Fast forward to 2017 and The Coffee Sack was born. It was always important to Kate and Johanna to try and reduce their impact on the environment as well as to use their position in the community to give back to those less fortunate.
Aside from holding various charity events to fund-raise for both local and national charities The Coffee Sack has most recently partnered with The Big Issue North to offer the vendors of Prestwich free hot drinks each week, offering them somewhere safe and warm to come where they will be welcomed and not judged.
They are also a proud partner of the Carbon Free Dining initiative whereby customers are given the option to add 99p to their bill. This not only offsets Carbon Dioxide from the production and delivery of their meals but also helps provide a sustainable source of food to some of those less fortunate as well as helping to slow desertification! The Coffee Sack additionally decided to donate a further 99p for every children’s meal that is bought at the cafe.
Products/Services: Coffee, Tea, Wine, Prosecco, Craft Ale, Gin and our signature Espresso Martini
Favourite Charities: Big Issue North, The Fed (local Prestwich Charity), Macmillan, Fareshare
