Donate exactly what is needed.
Borderlands are a Bristol based charity that supports disadvantaged and excluded people to improve their lives and the community in which they live. Borderlands works especially with people seeking asylum in the UK and refugees from other countries, including people who have been trafficked.
The items listed here are those currently needed by Borderlands. When you purchase a donation through this store, your exact purchased item is sent directly to Borderlands. They can then distribute or use the donated items as required, making a real, tangible difference to someone’s life. It also means that they don’t have to spend money donations on items, and can instead use it for those things only money can buy.
There is no minimum order size, and all items include free delivery.
Borderlands don’t pay for this shop, and Give Today use just £0.50 of the item prices below to cover transaction costs and price fluctuations from suppliers. Give Today do not profit from the sale of any items on the website.
Borderlands at work:
Borderlands has been supporting refugees, asylum seekers and those with insecure immigration status since 2011.
The charity was founded in 2011 following a long history of the parish at St. Nicholas of Tolentino RC Church providing support to the local community in need. By the relationships established between the parish and those seeking refuge over a number of years we were able to identify the needs of those seeking refuge and identify the best way to respond.
We believe that people should be able to seek sanctuary, safety and justice, where they can make full use of their talents and abilities, feel valued for their contribution to their community, and build worthwhile lives.
We want to help refugees, asylum seekers and those with insecure immigration from exclusion to belonging.
