Give Today. Help Tomorrow.
Donate exactly what is needed.
Better Pathways is the trading name of Birmingham Industrial Therapy Association (BITA), a mental health charity and company limited by guarantee, incorporated on the 1st Feb 1963. Practices have modernised greatly since then, but our underlying belief in the rehabilitation and recovery of people with mental health problems persists.
The items listed here are those currently needed by Better Pathways. When you purchase a donation through this store, your exact purchased item is sent directly to Better Pathways. They can then distribute or use the donated items as required, making a real, tangible difference to someone’s life. It also means that Better Pathways don’t have to spend money donations on items, and can instead use it for those things only money can buy.
There is no minimum order size, and all items include free delivery.
Better Pathways don’t pay for our service, and Give Today use just £0.50 of the item prices below to cover transaction costs and price fluctuations from suppliers. Give Today do not profit from the sale of any items on the website.
Better Pathways at work:
We know well that lack of work is a major burden for people with mental health problems and learning disabilities. This deprives people of opportunities and contributes to stigma, poverty, achievement, social contact and the ability to structure their time. Over 90% of people with serious mental health problems are unemployed and research shows that work improves symptoms and quality of life. Helping people with mental health problems and learning disabilities through work and activity remains our mission. As described above, we have undergone many changes since our beginnings, some chosen, others forced upon us. We have adapted and will continue to do so while retaining our core beliefs.
