Sorry it has taken us a while to catch you all up on how donations have been going. To be honest, you’ve completely blown us away with your generosity over these winter months. It’s been busy here at Give Today HQ, but fantastic.
November saw an absolute record smashing number of you donating, with a total of 1,892 items being donated throughout the month. No, my fingers didn’t slip and add an extra number in there… That is such an amazing number of lives touched!! After such a tough year for everyone, we can’t thank you enough on behalf of our partnering charities for your generosity this winter.
Including (but not limited to) children’s presents going to struggling families in Leeds, hand warmers going to people who are currently homeless in Southampton, and countless fantastic essential items being ordered for people in Birmingham who are currently homeless as part of the “Bags for Brummies” campaign organised by LoveBrum.
Donation Overview
Donations were seen in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester and Southampton, supporting charities in the homelessness and housing, children and family, and elderly sectors.
The most popular donation was the foil blanket. 175 foil blankets will be distributed between SIFA Fireside, Let’s Feed Brum and St. Basil’s. These really are life saving items, and it’s great that thanks to your generosity, people spending time on Birmingham’s streets this winter (whether sleeping, or just during the day) will be able to stay a little warmer, and a little more comfortable.
The same can be said for hand warmers – 140 pairs of these will be going all around the country! Cold extremities will be warmed thanks to these little pouches of warmth – perfect for tucking into gloves, pockets or shoes.

The Hope Revolution makes no profit from any of the items you purchase, with all revenue going towards supplying and delivering the items you order, directly to your charity of choice.

This winter, we are running a shoebox-style campaign to help the housing and homelessness charities in our home city, Manchester, get the essential items they need! You can fill your “Hope Box” with the items you wish to donate, and we’ll make sure that your items go to exactly they are needed and can make the greatest difference. The fantastic 12 charities taking part this year are: Audacious Foundation, Barnabus, Big Issue North – Manchester, Boaz Trust, Coffee4Craig, Greater Together Manchester, Lifeshare, Mustard Tree, Reach out to The Community, Shelter, Supporting People in Need (SPIN) and WHAG.
New Feature
We’ve also updated the website to have a feature for you. We recognise that many of you may have new or good quality second hand items you wish to donate this Christmas and winter. Check the charity pages to see what items they currently need, and if you already have this item to donate – click the button! We’ll get in touch and let you know how and where to send to your item!
